Epic Games releases teasers for its event that will bring Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 season to an end. After the battle bus, we now know that jetpacks will be part of the great combat between the inhabitants of Apollo Island and the Devourer of Worlds, on Tuesday, December 1 at 1:00 PM (PT).
Fortnite has published the image above, with the following mention:
COncerning datamined files, the developers sent us at the same time a nod, which indicates that jetpacks will be tools to keep with us preciously on the D-day.
The theory that players will be directly involved in the fight against Galactus is reinforced. In the image, various skins created by Epic Games can be seen flying into battle. This is a sign that the players themselves might have a role to play during the live event — without forgetting the subtitle, which is clearly a call to battle.
Jetpacks were reintroduced in Fortnite with patch 14.50 in early November. At that time, it was noticed that their appearance had been modified, transforming them into backbone engines made in Stark Industries.
That addition to the arsenal appeared surprising and unexpected. We now understand better what Epic was getting at.
