It has been rumored since E3 2021 started that a brand new State of Play was going to be broadcast in the near future. Today, Sony has confirmed that indeed there will be a new edition of the company’s well-known event. On this occasion, the event will focus mainly in Deathloop, the new IP from the minds behind Dishonored.
The upcoming State of Play will take place on July 8, at 11 p.m. (CEST). Apart from Deathloop, there will be a 30-minute showcase of the games coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
However, it’s worth mentioning that there won’t be news about exclusive titles, such as the expected sequel of God of War or Horizon II. The showcase will feature unconfirmed third party games and also indies.

An official blog post also emphasizes the titles from their catalogue that are related to the LGBTQIA+ community, such Horizon: Zero Dawn, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, The Last of Us and more.
