We already know everything that Patch 11.14 of League of Legends has in store for us. It is not just another update, this is the one that will kick off the Sentinels of Light event — the next episode in the narrative of Runeterra, in which we follow the conquest led by Viego, The Ruined King.
The tyrant of the Shadow Isles is on the offensive, and has attacked all regions of Runeterra, from Demacia to Piltover, Noxus to Shurima. While Akshan may have to wait until Patch 11.15, we promise that there is a lot of interesting things coming in this patch.
While the lore fans are eagerly awaiting their next dose of content, the most casual players should also be keeping an eye on the news. For starters, this patch introduces a lot of the new skins; one for Pantheon, as well as several for champions like Vayne, Olaf or Riven. These skins, in addition to looking incredible, are canon for the lore meaning that these champions will join the Sentinels in their fight against Viego.
But when it comes to gameplay, we also have a lot to go through. With only a few changes made by the balance team, we have the Irelia mini-rework taking centre stage. In addition to this, there is the visual update to Zilean's abilities.
Finally, don't forget, we have a new game mode called Ultimate Spellbook arriving. This one allows players to play champions whilst adding an Ultimate ability from another champion.
