Gnomeregan is a Dungeon in World of Warcraft Classic which can be accessed from Level 19. The entrance to the instance is in Dun Morogh and it is considered an Alliance-only instance. However, there is nothing stopping the bravest of Horde players from adventuring behind enemy lines to claim of the dungeon's treasures.
Generations of Gnomes once knew Gnomeregan as their capital city. However, bands of mutant Troggs took over the Gnomish capital, as well as other parts of Dun Morogh.
After a failed attempt to flush out the Troggs by destroying the city, High Tinkerer Gelbin Mekkatorque ordered an emergency expulsion of Gnomeregan's vats of radioactive waste.
The Troggs became irradiated, but continued to siege the city in spite of the radiation. Presently, Mekkatorque is actively recruiting soldiers in his quest to retake the capital.
Rumour has it that Mekgineer Thermaplugg, the cheif advisor to Mekkatorque, betrayed his people by allowing the Trogg invasion to occur. He currently lays in wait at the heart of the city, tinkering away on his machiavellian projects.

Dungeon Location
Gnomeregan is a Level 28 Dungeon, but you should be at least Level 30 in order to feasibly complete it.
The dungeon can be found in the Alliance zone of Dun Morogh. You can find the dungeon portal north of Brewnall Village with minimal difficulty.
Horde players can easily reach this instance thanks to the Rig Wars quest.
