One week without a content update. It would have been unthinkable in 2018, but Fortnite players have known this since Chapter 2. It's clear that Epic Games won't be giving us its traditional weekly patch at the beginning of May.
We should not be too severe about the rhythm of the changes, since the beginning of the week was marked by the re-release of the collaboration with Star Wars.
For three days, players were able to (re)discover Jedi Arts and Lightsabers directly in the battle royale. Even though the Lightsaber remains a controversial weapon due to its power, this kind of renewal always pleases casual players.
Some dataminers estimate that the very last patch of Season 2 will be v12.60, and should arrive on Tuesday, May 12 or Wednesday, May 13. FireMonkey even explains that Patch 12.51 would have been mostly a corrective update, but that bugs concerned have actually already been corrected by Epic.
Next season's plot is becoming clearer. It's more than likely that some kind of flooding will occur on Apollo Island, drowning some central places and buildings, and allowing sharks to spread throughout the island's waters. We'll have to wait until next week to have (perhaps) some new clues on this subject.
It should also be noted that the anti-helicopter Rocket Launcher could come up at any moment.
