What better way to launch a game than to bring together the world's best players in a tournament and see them compete for a total prize pool of $200,000? This is what Riot Games, in partnership with Twitch, has just announced for the official release of Valorant on June 2. The FPS which has just come out of its closed beta will be entitled to its second Twitch Rivals tournament a few days after its official launch.
The tournament will take place on the weekend following the release of the game and in parallel with the Summer Game Fest, from June 5 to 7. For the moment, only the following regions are concerned: North America, Brazil, Latin America, Europe, South Korea and Japan.
It should bring together streamers and professional players from all around the world, as it was already the case during the previous edition organized at the beginning of April for the opening of the closed beta. Riot Games may give more information about this event in the following days.
