The King of Fighters XV shows Yuri Sakazaki with a new trailer

A new week, a new The King of Fighters XV character reveal trailer. This time, long-time veteran Yuri Sakazaki takes the spotlight.

After the previous reveal of Andy Bogard, everyone was expecting the next trailer character to be about all-time classic Terry Bogard. However, developer SNK "shattered all expectations" as promised and announced the Kyokugenryu Karate practitioner instead. The returning fighter is coming to show her new tricks and she looks better than ever.

Yuri was originally introduced in the Art of Fighting series, which was created as a sequel of Fatal Fury (SNK's first fighting franchise). While there hasn't been new AoF titles since 1996, many of its original characters, such as Ryo Sakazaki, Takuma Sakazaki and Robert Garcia, were included in KoF. Yuri is also one of these "survivors".

One of her main features is that her moveset is a "parody" of many Street Fighter's well-known special moves. Yuri cand do "shoryuukens", "hadoukens" and her playstyle is very similar to Sakura's.

The King of Fighters XV doesn't have a release date or supported platforms yet, but it's expected to come out during 2021.
