Tier 2 Sets
As stated before, Blackwing Lair is where you'll come across Tier 2 gear, aside from helmets and Trousers, which are dropped by Onyxia and Ragnaros respectively. Here are the sets for each class:
Professions
You won't find any recipes, plans, or patterns on the bosses of Blackwing Lair, but Miners can learn Smelt Elementium, which is a vital part of crafting Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker. You'll have to find Master Elemental Shaper Krixis just before Ebonroc, and given that he's hostile, one of your Priests must use Mind Control to pacify the target an allow your raid to learn the skill.
