Each year, the Halloween festivities are marked in Fortnite by a series of major events. The 2020 edition of the Fortnitemares begins with a series of formal challenges that will allow us to get to grips with the new features contained in the patch and cosmetic rewards.
Challenges
- Become a Shadow (3)
- Travel 100 meters on a Witch Broom (100)
- Eat Candy (25)
- Deal damage with a Possessed Vehicle (100)
- Detect players as a Shadow (10)
- Eliminate Shadow Midas (1)
- Eliminate shadows as Player (3)
- Visit Different Witch Shacks (3)
- Consume legendary loot as a Shadow (3)
Rewards
- 40,000 XP
- 40,000 XP
- Midas’ Shadow Wrap
- 40,000 XP
- 40,000 XP
- Smash O’-Lantern Pickaxe
- 40,000 XP

- Bobo Back Bling
Note that these challenges are extremely profitable since even when they don't grant you exclusive cosmetics, they reward you with 40,000 EXP — almost twice the amount for a classic challenge.

Deployment of update 14.40 has enabled dataminers around the world to retrieve unpublished cosmetics files, which will be released in the coming weeks in Fortnite.
