WoW Classic: Ysondre World Boss Guide

Ysondre is a World Boss in World of Warcraft Classic. You can fight this boss at any level, but it's a good idea to wait until Level 60 before taking him on. Ysondre can be found in several different zones, including Duskwood, The Hinterlands, Feralas, and Ashenvale. Read more about his location below.

A Brief History Of

Ysondre is a member of the Dragons of Nightmare, alongside Lethon, Emeriss, and Taerar. These dragons form part of a difficult raid, with certain dragons being considered harder than others. Emeriss is seen as the second hardest boss.

Like the rest of the dragons, Emeriss was corrupted by the Emerald Dream, forcing him and his dragon kin to invade Azeroth and cause irreparable havoc. It's long since time their rampage was brought to an end.

Ysondre's Location

Ysondre and the other Emerald Dragons will spawn randomly in front of portals in the following zones: Duskwood, The Hinterlands, Feralas, and Ashenvale.

Here are the zones where you can encounter Emeriss:

  • Twilight's Grove in Duskwood
  • Dream Bough in Feralas
  • Bough Shadow in Ashenvale
  • Seradane in The Hinterlands

Strategy

Ysondre

Spells: Seeping Fog, Noxious Breath, Tail Sweep, Summon Player, Mark of Nature, Aura of Nature, Lightning Wave, Curse of Thorns, Silence, Moonfire

Race: Dragonkin

Recommended Formation

  • Main tank in front of Ysondre
  • Melee DPS in two groups on Ysondre's flanks
  • Ranged DPS in two groups surrounding Ysondre
  • Healers in two groups at a distance from Ysondre

Ysondre is the easiest dragon of the four; all you have to do is make sure your tanks hold aggro throughout the fight and that your healers are far enough away from the boss to avoid being silenced. Positioning players on Ysondre's flank will allow them to avoid taking damage from both Tail Sweep and Lightning Wave.

Your healers should focus on dispelling curses and healing the tanks. It's a good idea for the melee DPS to disengage from the boss when low to either bandage themselves or drink a potion, as it will make your healers' job a whole lot easier.
