A Brief History Of...
The ZandalarTribe, along with the Amani and the Gurubashi, is one of the founding tribes of Azeroth and is the last surviving faction of Trolls. During the Night Elves' arrival, the Zandalari were forced into exile by war. After the Sundering, the Gurubashi swore loyalty to the Blood God Hakkar.
However, with their new deity demanding too many sacrifices, a rebellion against the blood god was not far away. The Troll tribes united as one to take down Hakkar and those still loyal to him, the Atal'ai. The united coalition was successful, yet the Atal'ai discovered a way to rebuild Hakkar's physical form.
This ritual was only possible in the former capital of the GurubashiEmpire, Zul'Gurub, and it was there that his remaining followers attempted to bring Hakkar back to life.
It is for that reason that the Zandalari established themselves on the shores of Azeroth, preparing themselves for another encounter with the Blood God. Yet Hakkar has become even more powerful post-rebirth and has successfully rallied the avatars of the Primal Gods to his cause.
