The time has finally come for all Legends of Runeterra players! On April 30 the game will officially be released on PC and mobile — but that's not all: a brand new expansion will be released with more than 120 cards to accompany the official release of the game.
End of Beta
Don't be worried, everyt everything that has been bought and won so far will be kept — including all your collection and your stocks of Shards and Wildcards. Moreover, your Riot Account will be cross-platform. You will be able to use your collection either on PC or mobile.
Starting with the official release of the game, patches will drop every two weeks following the rhythm already in place for games like League of Legends or Teamfight Tactics. There should no longer be any changes to the core of the game, nor to the progression system.
Ranked
The beta season will end when you exit the game. You will receive an exclusive beta season icon, corresponding to the highest level reached to celebrate your first ascent in the LoR ranking. The ranking will be partially reset for the first post-launch season of LoR :
- Master accounts will lose 800 PL (8 divisions)
- Diamond and Platinum accounts will lose 750 PL (7 divisions + 50 PL)
- Gold and Silver accounts will lose 675 PL (6 divisions + 75 PL)
-
The Bronze and Iron accounts will fall back to the Iron IV level
You will then have two months to climb as much as possible until the distribution of the new ranking rewards. More information on the new season will be included in the launch patch note.
New expansion
At the moment, no information on the new region or on the new cards has been revealed by Riot. We only know that the new expansion is set to be released on PC with Patch 1.0. The update is scheduled on April 28.
Mobile
Following the launch on PC, the mobile client will be made available on the Play Store and the App Store. Depending on the region of residence, it will take between 4 and 48 hours before the game is available at your home. On April 30, the game should be available from everywhere (except China and Vietnam) and will be officially launched!
To play on mobile, you won't need a Riot account. However, if you want to take advantage of cross-platform sharing and keep your progress, you must have one. Not to mention that Riot cannot help you recover a non-Riot account. You can, of course, create one when you first connect or do it from the Settings menu if you are first connected on mobile.
Beta rewards
If you participated in the beta or joined before 8:59 a.m. on May 8, 2020, you will receive an exclusive Poro Guardian. The rewards should appear the next day.
