The future of Legends of Runeterra is looking bright for this end of the year. A bunch of new features will come with the new expansion of Call of the Mountain, Monuments of power. Note that a third and final expansion will launch in December and will add even more new cards.
Monuments of Power
New card type: Landmarks
A new type of cards is emerging with this expansion. Landmarks are cards depicting some of the iconic and / or power-filled locations of Runeterra. They will be linked to the lore and will have a big impact on the game.

New event
After the success of the Spirit Blossom event, a new event will soon be unveiled.
The quests will be modified to allow more freedom to the players. Fewer games will be required to complete them, and you should no longer be penalized for missing a day.
Spectator mode
We are getting closer and closer to the competition mode on LoR as we can see with the arrival of a spectator mode! In November, you will be able to discover a first version of this feature which will evolve and improve over time.
Cosmetics
You'll be able to have card styles on LoR soon. If these cosmetics don't add anything to the gameplay, they will allow you to stand out from your opponents with deck of unparalleled style. They will be available for all cards and you can unlock them for your favorite cards or apply them to your entire collection.
Competition: Seasonal tournaments
Esport is gradually settling on LoR with seasonal tournaments that will take place at the end of each season. They will be directly integrated into the game and will only be accessible to a thousand players per region. To qualify, you must be one of the best ranked players on your server or be one of the first to pass the Final Round, which will take into account your performance in previous rounds of the season.
The first tournament will take place at the end of the next season on December 6.
