The First Boss
Abilities: Impale, Locust Swarm, Cleave
Location: In the Spider Wing
Type: Undead
Strategy
Recommend Formation:
- 1 Warrior, 1 Hunter, and 3-4 Healers on Anub'Rekhan
- 1 Warrior and 2-3 Healers on the left Guard
- 2 Warriors and 2-3 Healers right Guard
As for the rest of the raid, your healers should focus on healing Impaled players. It's a good idea to pull the boss to the back of the room while your raid kills the left Guard first.
It's important that your tank isn't poisoned more than four times by the left Guard. If your tank is struggling with tanking the add, you should use stuns to swap tanks.
Once the left Guard is dead, the group previously assigned to him should help the team on the right Guard, which will give you more time to kill Anub'Rekhan later. Typically, both Guards will be killed a minute into the fight. Your Ranged DPS should start the fight by attacking Anub'Rekhan while the rest of your raid is dealing with the guards.
The best way to deal with Anub'Rekhan is to kite him. Whenever you see Anub'Rekhan cast Locust Swarm, your main tanks should start running around the east side ring of the room. They should avoid passing through the slime ring, as it will lower their stats by 10%.
Every time the boss casts Locust Swarm, a new wave of Crypt Guards will spawn, which must be pulled towards the west of the room, out of range of the Locust Swarm, and killed the same way as before. Once the Guards are dead, return to fighting Anub'Rekhan — but stay vigilant of his Locust Swarm. Your DPS should keep themselves out the Crypt Guards' range throughout the fight.
The Second Boss
Abilities: Frenzy, Poison Bolt Volley, Rain of Fire
Location: In the Spider Wing
Type: Humanoid
Strategy
Recommended Formation:
- Main tank on Faerlina
- Off-tank on the 4 Worshippers
You should first kill the two Followers before engaging Faerlina, as this will allow your DPS to focus on the main boss. Be sure to Mind Control the Worshippers and sacrifice them to the boss whenever Faerlina uses Frenzy.
Poison Bolt Volley will deal heavy damage, though it can be healed through and the DoT can be easily cleansed.
Melee DPS and tanks can equip Fire resistance gear and drink Greater Fire Protection Potions in order to better withstand the damage dealt by Faerlina's Rain of Fire. Your Ranged DPS and your healers should ensure that they are positioned at max spell range to prevent being hit by Rain of Fire as much as possible.
Your healers must cleanse themselves to ensure that you don't lose players to the boss. As cleansing is very mana-intensive, your healers should prioritise wearing +Intellect and +mana/5 gear.
The Third Boss
Abilities: Frenzy, Poison Shock, Necrotic Poison, Web Wrap, Web Spray
Location: In the Spider Wing
Type: Beast
Strategy
Recommended Formation:
- Maexxna in the centre of the room
- Main tank in front of Maexxna
- Rest of the group behind Maexxna, along the walls
Your Hunters should focus on dealing with Web Wrap, which incapacitates a player in a cocoon that can only be destroyed from the outside. A Warrior or a Paladin should aggro all the small spiders in the room so that they can be grouped and AoE'd down. Healers should prioritise casting HoT spells and max rank heals on the main tank to prevent them from dying when Maexxna casts Web Spray.
Druids must preoccupy themselves with cleansing poison from players throughout the encounter. Players should drink Greater Nature Protection Potions to help keep your raid alive.
