The First Boss

Patchwerk

Abilities: Berserk, Summon Player, Enrage, Hateful Strike

Location: In the Abomination Wing

Type: Undead

Strategy

Recommended Formation:

  • Patchwerk tanked in a corner of the room
  • Melee DPS to the side of Patchwerk
  • Tanks behind Patchwerk
  • Tanks designated to take Hateful Strikes in front of Patchwerk

The Patchwerk fight doesn't really require any precision; your tanks will almost always be able to hold aggro on the boss, so you should view this as a straight DPS race.

Hateful Strike will target the player in melee range with the highest HP, which should be one of your off-tanks. However, if you don't heal the off-tanks quickly enough, Patchwerk will kill a melee DPS with this spell. If you are ever targeted by this ability, try to parry or dodge the attack. This isn't always easy, so it may be a better idea to heal up your tanks and let them tank the hit. It's recommended that tanks drink the following potions for this fight:

  • Flask of the Titans
  • Greater Stoneshield Potion

The Second Boss

Grobbulus

Abilities: Bombard Slime, Slime Stream, Mutating Infection, Poison Cloud, Slime Spray

Location: In the Abomination Wing

Type: Undead

Strategy

Your tank should be the first player to aggro Grobbulus, moving him slowly to avoid being hit by Poison Cloud. The tank should stick to the wall when moving the boss, as this will prevent the room from being engulfed by the Poison Cloud.

Given his Poison Cloud and Slime Stream abilities, you should rely on you ranged DPS to safely damage the boss. When Grobbulus reaches 30% HP, he will resort to injecting multiple players. He will also continue to spread his Poison Cloud, covering up all but a select few safe zones.

Shamans should use both Nature Resistance Totems and Poison Cleansing Totems for this encounter, while Hunters can use Aspect of the Wild to help nearby players from taking heavy Nature damage.

The Third Boss

Gluth

Abilities: Mortal Wound, Terrifying Roar, Decimate, Enrage, Frenzy

Location: In the Abomination Wing

Type: Undead

Strategy

Recommended Formation:

  • Gluth tanked near the door, away from the zombies
  • Gluth's head towards the door

Zombies will start to appear near the entrance of the room. You should kite them for 105 seconds, when Gluth will cast his first Decimate. You must then kill the zombies before attacking Gluth, as it will make the fight much easier and prevent Gluth from eating them and regaining HP.

By tanking the boss, you not only hold aggro, be you are also able to block or interrupt his spells. Your Casters and DPS should aggro the zombies as soon as they appear so that they do not manage to reach the boss. They are particularly vulnerable to spells such as Frost Nova, Piercing Howl, and Cone of Cold, so be sure to spam them to your heart's content.

The Fourth Boss

Thaddius

Abilities: Ball Lightning, Polarity Shift, Chain Lightning Enrage,

Location: In Abomination Wing

Type: Undead

Strategy

Phase 1: It's crucial that your main tank aggros the boss while your DPS quickly focus him down. Casters should fight Stalagg, while other players must focus on Feugen. You should aim to kill both at the same time, otherwise they will attempt to revive one another.

Phase 2: In this phase, players should focus down Thaddius. He may even start the fight with a Polarity Shift, which he will cast every 30 seconds. This spell will give players a positive or a negative charge, causing nearby oppositely charged players to take damage. You should take time before the fight to designate sides of the room as positive or negative, which will make the encounter a whole lot easier and will let you kill the boss within his Enrage timer of 5 minutes.

Thaddius does not do a lot of melee damage; you only need 3-4 healers to keep the main tank alive. The rest of your healers should focus on healing other raiders, or even dealing damage to Thaddius.
