With the end of the first Valorant embargo on March 2, the community — already very excited about what they knew about the game — has a lot of new information that should satisfy them. We know more about agents, weapons, maps, gameplay, and much more. All these new features are gathered in this article — starting with its release date.
Gameplay, preview, tests
Many previews and tests are already available on the web. The general opinion is good. A lot of people talk about the really striking similarities with Counter-Strike and dotesport use it as a main angle for their article entitled "All major differences between VALORANT and CS:GO."
These previews also allow us to learn a lot more about the agents, their abilities, the maps, the rounds... In short, all general information is condensed in the different previews. Until an exhaustive summary is available, we strongly advise you to browse through a few tests.
Agents
There are currently eight agents in-game with different abilities: Brimstone, Cypher, Jett, Omen, Phoenix, Sage, Sova, and Viper.
Each agent can use the same weapons. However, they have four abilities that are unique to them. The first one recharges itself, automatically over time. The second and third can be purchased at the beginning of rounds. The last one, called ultimate, charges with points. These points are acquired by making a kill, finishing a round, or using an orb.
Weapons
CS:GO players won't be disorientated by the purchase menu. With five pistols, two SMGs, two shotguns, four rifles, two snipers, and two heavy machine guns, there are 17 weapons available in Valorant.
Prices go up to ¤ 4,500 and their economic evolution is similar to that of CS:GO.
