You've just downloaded Valorant and are wondering how to unlock the eleven agents available in the game using the contracts? We explain everything in this article!

Valorant: How to unlock agents?

Valorant was finally released for free for all on June 2nd, after two months of closed beta. New content has been added such as the eleventh agent, Ascent, a new game mode and a battle pass.

You don't have all the playable characters when you first log in. When the game launches, only five agents will be available: Brimstone, Jett, Phoenix, Sage and Sova.

You will have to unlock the others and for that nothing simpler since you just have to play. At the beginning, Valorant offers you a quest similar to a free combat pass with ten levels.

On the fifth and tenth level you can unlock two agents for free using tokens. Simply go to your collection tab and recruit the one you want. The status of the quest can be accessed on the home screen at the top left (see below).

For the others, you'll have to go through the contracts also accessible from your collection. Note that these will allow you to obtain tags, weapon skins and also cards linked to the agent of your choice. Each of them is bound by a contract of their own.

It's a tier system that will allow you to acquire these rewards. Once you reach the final level, the fifth, you'll get the agent in question. Note that you can only have one active contract at a time, but you can change contracts at any time.

In order to fulfill the contract, it's not mandatory to play the agent that corresponds to it. If you wish to unlock Reyna, you can play Omen since it's only the experience gained in your games that counts. You'll need a total of 20,000 experience points to pass a single level.

If you're in a hurry, you can also spend 1,000 Valorant Points ($10) to move directly to Tier 5 and instantly unlock the desired agent.

Long hours of farming or several dozen dollars will be necessary to unlock all the agents in the game, especially if Riot Games plans to add new characters in the coming weeks.
